WHAT ARE NAVARATHRIS: THE 4 NAVARATHRIS

THE WHY OF NAVATHRIS?

If you have that question, that means you are not yet ready for the knowledge. Only if you realise the significance of shakthi and how you are related to shakthi and its role you may read further.

More specifically, it is observed to acquire the necessary knowledge, skill and strength for each season of an year.

magha navarathri: for saraswathy, kama

chaithra:

sharadha: pre winter and winter. for knowledge and vijaya

SO,

First nine night is dedicated predominantly for shakthi shradha.

Next nine predominantly for Vishnu shradha.

Next nine predominantly for shiva shradha.

Last is where moon becomes less and less availabe reaching to darkest night of the month, where reality hence becomes more and more present compared to the creation(maya) that is the case for the rest of the month.

First nine is the time of shakthi and mother to destroy evil, nurture and nourish the creation. Which is part of her maha maya.

The next nine is the time for Operation, Stabilising and Preservatioon by Vishnu. Of the acquired knowledge, skill, strength and power.

The most commonly known of navarathris is autumn or SHARADH  NAVARTHRIS and hence called sharadha navarathri.

Gregonrian calendar month: Sept- Oct

Lunar calendar month: Ashvin/

Mainly used as navathri for learning/saraswathi.

This is the time before winter, the coolest part of the year and time when that part of earth because of its farthest distance from the sun becomes most inert/ thamsic/ the activity recedes. So this pre winter navarathri, is made use as a time of learning and hence acquiring the strength and power to sail through the hibernating time of winter.

Which is then operated and stabilised and stored by vishnu in the next nine days. Then subsequently dissolved into your subtle body fully in the third nine days by shiva shradha.

1st: MAGHA NAVARATHRI 

Gregorian: Jan- feb

2nd: CHAITHRA NAVARATHRI

3rd: ASHADA NAVARATHRI

4:Sharadha Navarahtri.
